This year, Capital One has returned to New York Fashion Week with several activations and partnerships. The Cultivist, the members club and creative agency, and Capital One have teamed up this season with the debut of the immersive exhibition “Bauhaus Ballet” by artist and fashion photographer Szilveszter Makó, marking his first public exhibition.
The six-room exhibition — featuring Makó’s signature approach within the world of Hungarian folklore and childhood memories — transforms fashion imagery and explores the world of identity, individuality and self-expression. Notable portraits within the exhibition encompass Cardi B, Gwendoline Christie, Bad Bunny, Cate Blanchett, Elle Fanning, Rihanna, Rama Duwaji and more.
Within the experience, Makó also curated the “Archive Room,” which features an archive of pieces from designers such as Viktor & Rolf, Marc Jacobs and more — showcasing the notable fashion figures and creative forces continuing to shape the industry today.
