MuseSelect Launches Fashion Apparel Platform for Creators

As social commerce continues to grow, MuseSelect, a creator commerce firm operated by Musetech Inc., has officially launched its platform at the U.S. Creator Fashion Market, being held at CoCreate LA.

The company’s platform features over 5,000 fall and winter looks from more than 100 fashion brands selected for the U.S. creator market. MuseSelect also introduced Muse 1000, which is a program designed to help 1,000 creators build their own fashion labels.

MuseSelect had a beta test earlier this year. The rollout comes as “social commerce continues to reshape how consumers discover and buy products.” Social commerce sales in the U.S. are poised to surpass $100 billion, with the creator revenue portion growing 16.2 percent to $20.6 billion.

According to data from eMarketer, 58 percent of adults in the U.S. have bought something because a creator had endorsed it. In addition, affiliate marketing accounts for 8.2 percent of what U.S. creators earn, which compares to 59 percent from sponsored content.

“Under both arrangements, the brand typically retains the customer relationship and the margin,” MuseSelect said in a statement, adding that it is built “to give creators a larger economic stake in the products and brands they help bring to market.”

Ricky Xie, CEO of MuseSelect, said creators have become “one of the most powerful forces shaping what consumers discover and buy, while the infrastructure required to build a fashion business remains difficult to access. MuseSelect connects creators directly with products, manufacturers and commerce infrastructure, giving them a way to test ideas with their communities, build demand and ultimately create brands they can own.”

Xie said with Muse 1000, the company wants “to help create a new generation of fashion companies built around creator taste, audience trust and ownership.”

Compared to most affiliate platforms, MuseSelect is a big moneymaker. The company said commissions can reach 25 percent, which is about double other programs. The base commission from MuseSelect is 15 percent, “with creators able to earn an additional 5 to 10 percent tied to savings generated by eliminating traditional sample shipping and photography costs.”

MuseSelect said it gives creators multiple ways to participate—from affiliate selling to developing products and building a brand of their own. The platform also connects creators with suppliers, including domestic and overseas manufacturers and emerging brands.

Creators can earn affiliate commissions with no follower minimum and no requirement to purchase samples,” the company said, adding that fulfillment is handled through the platform. MuseSelect also offers AI tools to generate on-model product imagery and other content assets, “reducing the need to ship physical samples for every potential collaboration. Creators retain control over what they select, how it is presented and what ultimately gets published.”

In addition, creators can tap into Museland, the company’s AI-powered product creation tool. This allows creators to choose garment silhouettes and develop original graphics. They can turn those ideas into products sold through MuseTopia, which is the company’s consumer marketplace. Creators can earn commissions plus an ongoing 3 percent royalty on their designs.

There’s also a storefront for each creator where their selections, content and audience activity “can accumulate over time, providing a foundation for developing a larger brand,” the company said.

MuseSelect said about 10,000 creators have registered on the platform over the past two months. “In a U.S. pilot, 10 creator storefronts generated close to $300,000 over three months,” the company said. “One of the top creators has generated over $100,000 in sales.”

“The next generation of commerce will be shaped by a much closer connection between product creation, audience demand and supply,” Xie said. “MuseSelect brings that entrepreneurial energy closer to manufacturers and commerce infrastructure while giving suppliers a clearer signal about what consumers want. That combination can help creators build businesses of their own and give the industry a more responsive way to bring new products to market.”
